Thread and needle bug?

So I've been using the mod with no issues till now. I finally got to the quest to do weapons (thread and needle), already retrieved the memory core, but after I handed it to him the quest updated and said to wait for him to modify buster but he doesn't do anything? I've reloaded, waited, left and came back... Mission is just stuck at this point which means no weapon mods for me....

Did you wait 24 hours? The quest is designed to allow you to go off and do other things in Starfield but if you just want to skip ahead to that, you can sit and wait a day.
