Sim (L.I.S.T.) settlements idea for Mclarence Outfitters

Hi All,

Just an idea for an add on for this creation with a Sim Settlements flavor.

A new mechanised spacesuit that when assigned to a colonist allows them to perform one of 3 roles

- Mining: equipped with a mining laser allows the colonist to automatically collect a range of minerals to be deposited at a base.

- Salvage- allows colonists to dismantle and collect various components from various POIs

- Foraging- allows colonists to harvest large amounts of flora and fauna to be used as nutrients back at base.

These are built as a suit station at a colony attached to storage for that suit purpose and used for base construction as an alternative to automated miners.

Any thoughts?
 
Yes I have quest idea where the player is sold a franchise where they buy the suit modules, transport them to a new colony and build them for the colonists. The player then gets a cut of whatever the colonists harvest and sell.

However, unbeknownst to the player, the franchise is a front for Ecliptic. Once the player leaves the colony, the suits lock down, Ecliptic shows up and harvests the colonists organs, and the next time the player arrives at the colony they find the colonists in shallow graves.

It’s up to the player to find out what’s going on and to show the colonists how to defend themselves.
