[RESOLVED] Unable to Assign a crew or pilots to new ship.

This was not a bug. This was me not doing the correct order of things. There is a terminal you have to use to assign your Fleet and somehow I forgot doing that and it led to all of this. Thank you for your responses I look forward to finishing this chapter and playing the next.

After completing the portion of the Watchtower quest in which I'm finally able to assign a crew to a new ship everything was fine and I was able to assign the crew to an old ship I had boarded and taken control of but that wasn't registered.

Before doing anything else I left the space station and went and upgraded the ship. Then I made it my home ship fluid up into space repaired it and set all of its settings to max. I have no idea if this needed to be done or not but I figured why not.

After reassuming my original home ship I have no longer been able to assign any crew to a second ship. As though that portion of the quest had never been done. Since then I've taken over new ships, I bought a ship, and I'm not able to assign any crew to a second ship at this point. I feel like there's something I'm doing wrong.

Update:

I've continued to play through the various quests of Watchtower and haven't experienced any other issues other than I can't use the orbital artillery and I can't see or assign secondary ships or Pilots what crew.

The other air locks at the main Space Station are not occupied by any ships. I feel like this is a bug but I'm not sure. I still feel like maybe I'm not doing something right or not talking to somebody or something like that.

Okay, I think that this is all egg on my face. In my settlement just now I created a fleet command terminal. I hadn't been using this. I remember using it before during the quest line but I hadn't been using it to try to assign my fleet. I'm pretty sure the problem is resolved. I felt like this was me not doing something right, it was me not doing something right.
Thank you for reporting you experience, something definitely seems strange here. Please could you share your mod list, as several of these issues sound like conflicts of some kind. I will open a ticket for this.
 
I had this same problem staring off last night. In addition, none of the exit ports would allow me to leave. This morning I restarted the game from before I talked to Gren and the woman in the bar. I started with her first this time just to make sure I started the way I suspected the developers expected. This time it seemed to work without an issue. I still wonder if my other ship will be OK as it is a class C ship and I have assigned Emilia Earhart as the pilot and kept Torin with me, as Coe is dead in my universe.
 
Thank you so much for your response and for the help. I have over 100 days played with sim settlements 2 so this is exciting. I'll try to be as responsive as I can as I absolutely love your team and the work that you guys do and if I can do anything to help that would be fantastic!

How on Earth did that get so long?

Currently I'm working on getting my ship upgraded to the point that I can take on some of the more challenging nodes solo. Hopefully after some more Quest completion the fleet command option makes itself available. Hopefully I'm not looking at a restart.
