Watchtower Patch 1.0.2

Patch 1.0.2 for Watchtower is now live!

See below for details.
  • Cleared a location reserve flag on a controller quest to avoid it holding some locations from being used by other quests.
  • [Warning: Spoiler] Players who bonded with Torin will find that his affinity now transfers through Unity jumps if he comes with.
  • Watchtower ships can now be salvaged without being able to pilot them (salvage mechanic is unlocked by Gren after defeating a certain number of Hub Arrrays).
  • Fixed several typos.
  • Reconditioned a handful of Torin lines that should only play when the player has gone through Unity.
  • [Warning: Spoiler] Fixed a bug that could prevent Torin’s affinity level from effecting the bonding outcome.
  • [Warning: Spoiler] Added additional failsafe during the quest Last Watch to prevent an issue some players were experiencing where they became stuck mid escape pod sequence.
  • Updated Spanish text translation to cover additional strings.
  • Added first draft of Portuguese text translation.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause multiple systems to simultaneously end up with a Major Array resulting in more hubs than were meant to exist.
  • Swapped ship count of random Watchtower spawns to be based off of system minimum level rather than maximum. Note the ship count is not a 1:1 ration with system level, the system level nearly influences the number of ships.
  • Increased delay before moving crew into Stardock as in some cases they would still fail to move after evaluating their package.
  • The Major Array checklist objective quest should no longer refresh every time a save is loaded.
  • Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause multiple Watchtower fleets to spawn in the same location.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Watchtower random attacks to occur more frequently than intended in some systems.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause fleet ships to sometimes use the New Atlantis landing pad.
  • Reconditioned some of Torin’s lines that were meant to only fire while in the interior of Stardock.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent Torin from speaking a lot of his miscellaneous follower dialog.
  • Improved the collision on the Major Array model to make it easier to hit.
  • Added new affinity events for Torin to allow him to react to vanilla events such as arriving at a new location, becoming overencumbered, etc.
  • Fixed several bugs that could occur in the quest Port in a Storm on post Unity playthroughs for players who had bonded with Torin.
  • Fixed Gren missing responses to certain options in his generic conversation loop.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent fleet ships from following the player in many circumstances.
  • Added retroactive fix to ensure the vanilla Groundpounder quest can proceed if it was blocked due to a Watchtower encounter.
  • Added gameplay option called “Ambush Chance”. This setting controls the likelihood of Watchtower ambushes after the initial encounter
    • The changes for Easy and Very Easy are significant, and were designed to let players who want to save Watchtower quests for later to feel the freedom to do so.
    • Several other changes and fixes in this patch will have likely reduced the likelihood by a large amount for some players under the Normal setting.
  • Fixed alignment of some turrets on the Watchtower Battleship.
  • Fixed generic Stardock vendors sharing their vendor inventory.
  • Fixed cyber amp perks being visible on the crew menu.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent Earth map markers from showing for some players.
  • Initial Synapse Disruptor blast from Watchtower should no longer send clutter flying.
  • Added additional failsafe to ensure the quest The Stars Have Eyes starts correctly.
  • Fixed a misaligned door in the Watchtower Battleship.
  • Reduced crowd density in Stardock.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Skydrop robots to sometimes follow players off of the planet they were called down on.
  • Fixed a bug in the quest Last Watch that could prevent the Sledgeback from reaching the player's ship.
  • Added a failsafe to better ensure characters are moved back to Stardock at the end of the final quest.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause several vendors in Stardock to show that they had twice as many items available for sale as they actually did.
  • Removed small floating wall that could be found inside Watchtower Destroyers.
  • Gren will now carry Charged Diodes for sale.
  • Fixed a bug in the quest The Stars Have Eyes where objective markers leading to the control node could sometimes fail to display.

McClarence Outfitters Patch 1.0.5

Patch 1.0.5 for McClarence Outfitters is out now with a variety of fixes! See below for details.
  • Fixed Runner's legendary effect appearing for extraction when it should not.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent the mannequin from starting with the costume the first time the player meets Jason.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent the tier 5 version of the suit being able to spawn with UC Vanguard skin.
  • Prevented faction skins that are locked behind unlock conditions from being purchasable from Jason.
  • [Watchtower Players] Runner's legendary effect found from one of the late quest rewards is now available for extraction.
 

Watchtower Patch 1.0.1

The first patch for Watchtower is now available!

See below for details.

  • Prevented fleet pilots from using skydrop lines if they are physically with the player.
  • Fixed crew members not going aboard Stardock reliably.
  • Added option to dismiss a companion from a fleet ship when they are recruited.
  • Enabled Torin's "bumped into" lines for activating the Heimdall armillary.
  • Gren will now correctly recognize when the player installs a skydrop on their home ship.
  • Ensured the player had learned of the major arrays before allowing quest 4 to trigger.
  • Fixed the naming of Chinese localization files so they should now use English text as with other untranslated languages.
  • Regenerated Battleship interiors to update the appearance of the living quarters hab.
  • Adjusted the amount of materials dropped by certain enemies.
  • Modified the Eridani III orbit section to prevent an issue some players where experiencing where other random or mod-added encounters could block Torin from showing up.
  • Modified several locations where key objective related Watchtower NPCs could end up out of the player's reach, including an area in the Spacer station during the quest Lost in Transmission.
  • Adjusted the way Watchtower quest icons are displayed to try and resolve several visual issues.
  • Reduced the number of major hub array kills required to trigger all of Gren’s unlocks from 3 to 2.
  • Adjusted angle of mech skydrop projectile FX.
  • Adjusted array objectives to fire more reliably.
  • Adjusted objective markers to not point through the locked elevator after finishing clearing the facility during the quest Port in a Storm.
  • Forced combat to stop when the player tries to leave the final Watchtower Station to resolve an issue where the player would receive a warning that they couldn't do so during combat.
  • Took measures to try and prevent an issue some players experienced where Gren's ship immediately flew away after landing during a particular scene.
  • Forced Torin to be available for reassignment after having his last conversation during the quest Last Watch.
  • Fixed a bug with the compass while in scanner mode.
  • Fixed array objectives clearing the wrong system name when destroying a minor array.
  • Disabled fleet ships when they should not be visible anyway to prevent oddities with overlapping ships.
  • Restored fleet ship health when grav jumping.
  • Prevented boarding objectives from firing in Cruisers.
  • Watchtower Cruisers should correctly no longer be pilotable.
  • Prevented fleet ships from appearing in the UC pilot simulator.
  • Corrected various Watchtower hab issues and regenerated their ship interiors.
  • Fixed various typos.
  • Fixed a bug where Gren would say to the player there were no more Skydrops to unlock lines when the player is unable to unlock more Skydrops due to a lack of computer cores.
  • Prevented arrays from spawning in orbits that do not allow space encounters.
  • Fixed array health diminishing to almost nothing when loading a save near one.
  • Gave major arrays a different satellite model than minor ones to help differentiate them visually.
  • Removed Stardock from the stardock crime faction to ensure it does not turn hostile to the player.
  • Added a low chance for small Watchtower patrols to spawn even in systems where the array has been destroyed. This should ensure players can continue to farm for resources and capture ships after completing the main quest line.
  • Ensured Altair array map marker is disabled after the quest The Stars Have Eyes.
  • Blocked boarding the initial batch of ships defending Heimdall during the quest Last Watch.
  • Prevented escape music ending prematurely if certain stages fire out of order during the quest Last Watch.
  • Made the armillary instructions a quest item until after speaking to Gren and possibly Torin post quest to ensure certain player lines referencing it work correctly during the quest Last Watch.
  • Further ensured that pacifying hostile ships will prevent the need to kill them to advance the quest Last Watch.
  • Fixed Harper not properly taking intel from contraband containers.
  • Removed auto dismissal option for fleet pilots being hired as followers as this would also remove them as a follower.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause invalid entries to remain in the objective from Harper’s leads.
  • Fixed the UC Sysdef mission board on Stardock not enabling when it should.
  • Watchtower should no longer be able to ambush the player near the Chop Shop from a Tracker's Alliance quest.
  • Added a failsafe for the quest The Stars Have Eyes to ensure it starts when the save file is loaded if it previously failed to start.
  • Fixed a bug during the quest Lost in Transmission where the player's home ship could end up inaccessible if the player told Torin they would ride with him back to Stardock but then leave on their own.
  • Fixed a bug in the quest Lost in Transmission that could occur if the player leaves the spacer ship while Torin is using the terminal.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent Torin being able to be reassigned after the quest Last Watch.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the quest Last Watch to restart. For players who had this occur, the restarted quest should be shut down after loading this patch.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent the player from continuing the quest Last Watch if they exited the conversation between Gren and Torin at the wrong time.
  • Fleet ships will now be automatically repaired after the player Grav Jumps.
  • [McClarence Outfitters Players] Fixed McClarence shop on Stardock potentially becoming difficult to unlock if the player fully upgrades Stardock before completing Jason's quest to expand the number of shops.
  • [McClarence Outfitters Players] Fixed a bug that would cause Jason to have no items for sale on Stardock.
  • Modified the initial encounter with Watchtower so that if another mod disrupts the encounter, Fast Travel will be re-enabled.
  • Removed prerequisite stages on trigger boxes to prevent a chain reaction that could lead to Lost in Transmission becoming incompletable if one was skipped.
  • Initial release of Spanish text translation - feedback welcome!

McClarence Outfitters Patch 1.0.4

Patch 1.0.4 for McClarence Outfitters is out now with a variety of fixes, as well as a tie-in with Watchtower! See below for details.
  • Fixed a bug with the flashlight in 3rd person while wearing the McClarence helmet.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause all McClarence helmet visor's to show the special skin that unlocks at the very end of the mod's quests.
  • Compiled materials and particle files to make them more efficient.
  • Localized the esm to allow for future multi-lingual text support.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the Activity objective pointing to Jason to complete before the player had completed all of the available quests.
  • Restored missing voice file.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent some players from completing the last quest due to a collision plane that appears in Vectera.
  • Modified the way the shops are setup to allow for more easily adding additional McClarence locations in other Creations.
  • Fixed a weight slider for the McClarence suit that could cause it not to morph correctly for all body sizes.
  • Added tie-in with Watchtower for owners of both adding a new Watchtower themed skin for the McClarence suit, pack, and helmet, as well as a small story tie-in for players who have fully completed both creations.
 

Bards College Expansion Patch 1.0.1

- Modified playable instruments to use the shield slot.
- Fixed ownership of items in Sledrig's room.
- Bard outfit pieces now have tempering recipes.
- Fixed a variety of subtitle mistakes.
- Modified several quest moments to ensure the animations play more reliably.
- Endarie will now give the player the clothing up until the end of the party during the quest Music, Merriment, and Muckrakers. Previously, if the player had forgotten to grab it before entering the party they would no longer be able to acquire their free set.
- If Inge, Gemane, and/or Pantea are dead before their corresponding quest are completed, Olvus will treat that quest as completed to ensure players aren't locked out from getting access to the new instruments.
- Helvana should no longer use her default Hellos during certain sections of the Chillwind Hollow dungeon, which clashed with the tone heavily at that stage in the questline.
- Volgaafsonaan will no longer cut off Sledrig mid conversation during a portion of the main quest.
- Restored several missing voice files.
- Instrument playing system was modified under the hood to allow easier patching by other mods for support of custom player races.
- Optimized scripts used by several Resonant Crystals for shout enhancements. This should greatly reduce the script load for players using a large number of them.
- Light effect added to the player while Chanting will no longer show up in the Active Effect list.
- Chant spells now have a description.
- Changed several instances in text where the term Mana was used instead of the correct term Magicka.
- Player phantom's from the spell Phantom Form can no longer be killed by the player.
- Town square ballad playing bards should be less likely to put away and pull out their instruments repeatedly.
- Fixed a bug where rapidly equipping/unequipping the instruments could cause a large amount of script lag.
- Radiant Rainment will now sell the various colors of the Bard outfits. Note that on existing saves, it may take some time before the inventory updates to reflect this change.
- Shouting now correctly counts as an activity that can trigger Bardic Inspiration.
- Fixed a bug where some of Helvana's scenes could lock up.
- Chants now correctly have art when viewed in the menu.
- Adjusted the collision planes in the sanctuary to help prevent the player from climbing out of the play area. Players who do manage to escape the area by some means should find themselves teleported back to the center.
- Sealed Door in Chillwater Hollow is now correctly named Iron Door.
- Added missing occlusion and max height data to the new areas, this should result in a minor performance boost, and ensure any flying NPCs can path correctly in these areas.
- Fixed a bug that would cause visual defects with a variety of textures on Xbox.
- Sabrine can now correctly cast the spell she uses with the sealed letter during the Emissary questline.
- Fixed a typo in one of the objectives during the Emissary questline.
- Modified Malana's packages slightly to try and resolve an issue some players experienced where triggering combat in the inn would lock up the quest Red Meat.
- Modified a scene in the quest Red Meat to prevent an issue where Malana would sometimes skip her first line of the final scene.
- Reduced texture sizes to 2k/1k resolution (depending on item type) to match the base game textures. Higher res versions will be made available in an optional future patch mod.
- Fixed a bug where players who used a mod, such as Convenient Horses, to quickly dismount a horse while playing an instrument would lock them into first person.
- Bard outfit gold values should now be closer to those found with similar outfit pieces in the base game.
- Fixed a bug with Bard outfits' inventory model.
- Fixed a bug that would allow followers to enter the sanctuary, despite a notice saying they couldn't enter.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the Draugr found in Chillwind Hollow from being lootable.
- Fixed a bug that could cause Helvana to skip mentioning the player could pick up new clothing in some circumstances.
- Olvus will no longer mention a professor having their instrument back if they are deceased.
- Adjusted the teleport marker for the rear Bards College door to prevent an issue where the player could sometimes get stuck in the door.
- After unlocking a playable Bard's version of an instrument, it unlocks as a craftable item at a forge.

Patch 1.0.3 for McClarence Outfitters is out now with a variety of fixes, see below for details.
  • Altered worldspace generation method used for setting up the enemies for the first quest to better ensure mod compatibility.
  • Fixed legendary effects applied to a weapon’s wielder not fully taking effect.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent the Rend legendary from At Hell’s Gate working on a new item.
  • Fixed a bug where all mod slots could be cleared after installing a mod or duplicating an item.
  • Fixed legendary mods only identified by item rather than keyword being able to be installed overtop their non McClarence version.
  • Fixed some legendary mods failing to apply properly.
  • Fixed armillary scan target not properly being removed after the final quest.
  • Added failsafe start for the second quest in case it fails to start due to mod conflicts.
  • Allowed cargo hold access within the shop for players who have the gameplay option for it set to work anywhere in a settlement.
  • Added missing Jason voice file from the beginning of the last quest.
 

McClarence Outfitters Patch 1.0.2

Patch 1.0.2 for McClarence Outfitters is out now and adds some new content in addition to bug fixes, see below for details. Also, McClarence Outfitters is now Achievement enabled on Steam and XBox!
  • Ryujin themed skin added. This becomes unlocked after joining the faction.
  • Added an additional quest, this triggers after 275 total mod extractions.
  • Pacifier shotgun can now be modified.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Buster to give copies of all weapons previously duplicated.
  • Fixed several typos.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent the Mark 1 suit from working correctly with the legendary install system.
  • Fixed skin variants appearing in situations they shouldn't.
  • Fixed a bug with the Synaptic legendary effect showing the wrong xp bonus.
 

East Empire Expansion Patch 1.0.6

A new patch was posted to Bethesda.net for East Empire Expansion and is awaiting approval! Will update this post once it is live.

The following issues are fixed for patch 1.0.6:
  • Fixed an issue for some users where Rotgut was not showing up during the corresponding quest.
  • Fixed an issue where Sha’khar wouldn’t give the player the junk items during the optional tutorial for testing the Relic with.
 

McClarence Outfitters Patch 1.0.1

The following issues have been address for patch 1.0.1 which is now live.

  • Fixed helmet ground model collision.
  • Fixed conflict with encounter zone raising mods that could prevent multiple of Jason's quests from starting.
    • This includes compatibility with Dynamic Universe and Royal Galaxy.
  • Added failsafe to prevent any potential of mannequins duplicating items.
  • Minor material optimizations.
  • Several minor subtitle fixes.

East Empire Expansion Patch 1.0.5

The following issues have been addressed for patch 1.0.5, which is live now.

  • Reworked flag spawner to place East Empire banners more reliably.
  • Added additional objectives for Jarl quests for consistency and a ease of use.
  • Stopped note in the bannered mare from floating.
  • Slightly adjusted Winterhold note position to make it easier to spot.
  • Rot-Gut will now only attack after being interacted with.
  • Adjusted Riften clue position to make them easier to spot.
  • Corrected several typos in notes, objectives, etc.
  • Added several missing voice lines.
  • Added missing topic links for some Jarl dialouge for Balgruuf and Thongvir.
  • Added speech xp gain to persuasion checks.
  • Added food keyword to firebrand wine.
  • Ensured magic effect messages would use Uerkeelern Cold-Blade's actual name.
  • Prevented Sha'khar from appearing at Snow Veil Sanctum during the Thieves Guild quest.
  • Fixed a bug that could allow the initial demonstration relic to despawn in some circumstances.
  • Prevented exploit to get an extra relic from Sha'khar during tutorial.
  • Ensured Sha'khar will give relics after the first portion of the quest was completed, even if the tutorial was skipped.
  • Fixed a bug where the quest East Empire Spoils could start too early.

Bards College Expansion Patch 1.0.2

The following issues have been addressed for patch 1.0.2 which is live now!
  • Corrected positioning of several items in the Bards College.
  • Fixed several subtitle errors.
  • Insult duelers can now spawn in the Drunken Huntsman.
  • Magic Effect for musical inspiration buffs will now correctly show the bonuses from Triumphant Melodies.
  • Modified the backend functionality of Phantom Form to circumvent a base Skyrim bug that could result in other summons being naked.
    • Players who experienced this previously should find those summons to be fixed in future uses after this patch is installed.
  • Modified Sledrig’s behavior during a specific scene so that he will always play his animation.
  • Bardic Inspiration should no longer be droppable.
  • Helvana’s initial scene can no longer be interrupted, this will prevent an issue where she could end up in a stuck state.
  • Added a failsafe during the dragon encounter to prevent certain other mods from breaking the scene.
  • Helvana and Sledrig can no longer be spoken to during the shouting portion of the dragon encounter.
  • Modified the navmesh and a few marker positions in the dragon lair to prevent an issue where Sledrig could sometimes fail to path to his destination.
  • Fixed typos in several new Words of Powers that resulted in them showing the wrong dragon language symbols.
  • Ballad bard idle markers in Riften are now correctly flagged so that random other NPCs will no longer use them.
  • Modified a variety of mesh files to reduce their size slightly and eliminate some errors in their structure.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause Loliah to talk over Helvana.
  • Restored several missing voice files for Peras.
  • Bards College map marker fast travel point will now face the player towards the courtyard instead of away from it.
  • Adjusted Helvana’s AI packages inside of Dead Men’s Respite so that she will stay closer to the player near the beginning hallway.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Sabrine from casting a spell during an Emissary quest.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause some characters from not showing up to the Winking Skeever if the player completed the entire Emissary questline before proceeding through Sledrig’s questline.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause one of the Emissary quests to restart if the player returned to the mercenary camp later.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the mercenaries to turn on the player after the player had achieved a peaceful resolution.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent Marchel from reacting to the player seating in the chair they were instructed to.
  • The mercenaries should no longer flee from slaughterfish and mudcrabs.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Marchel to force greet the player even after the scene was over.
  • Tyriana should now correctly react to the Civil War and go inside during it.
  • [Xbox] Fixed an issue with several mesh files that could cause them to display odd markers.
  • Fixed a bug where Helvana could become physically frozen in a pose if ragdolled during a particular scene during the quest Resonance.
  • Fixed several visual issues in Stonesong Grotto with clipping/holes.
  • Improved navmesh in several places within Stonesong Grotto.
  • Brightened up the lighting slightly to better highlight a few important elements within Stonesong Grotto.
  • Container ownership is now transferred to the player correctly after the main quest.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Olvus to twitch violently while attempting to play his lute.
  • Adjusted the fast travel location of Stonesong Grotto slightly.
