Potential to 'suspend' quest to allow other game work?

Possible for a menu slider to 'pause' watchtower? Or at least to pause the WT automatic attacks when jumping systems? To allow doing other things inbetween?

Maybe a slider to delay WT start until character level ## or sonething? I got pulled in at level 1 on a fresh character, nearly impossible to move through.

Hard agree on toning down the watchtower attacks. As it stands now, the mod is incredibly overbearing and pretty much forces you to drop everything and laser-focus on it at least until you have a sizable fleet, which is not only frustrating if you were in the middle of something, but also clashes severely with the game's intent of being a free-form sandbox where you can go anywhere and do anything whenever you want.
 
Hi there - we have listened to feedback regarding this and our next patch update will include a gameplay option that reduces or increases the chances of Watchtower ships attacking you. Additionally, at its lowest setting, only the smaller fleets will appear.

Perhaps a stealth shield for each of your vessels? That would make a difference, but I could see them putting out space mines with an auto destruct if a vessel gets within a certain distance. Of course two could play that game right?
 
I just ignore the Watchtower ones when I do other Missions/Quests/Activities. It does not seem like the attack frequency is all that excessive but being able to choose frequency is a good idea. I'd also like to see my ships not attack an enemy I have specifically targeted so I can disable them.
