Sledgeback, Gren and Torin are nowhere to be found after finishing Last Watch. (PC)

I‘ve had some issues with the last part of the quest, specifically after escaping from Heimdall, and have been reloading multiple saves trying to fix it. Gren’s ship would sometimes not land, other times the ship was on the ground but with the engines running and landing bay closed, other times the ship landed and everything seemed fine but then the ship would just drive endlessly without reaching my ship. And finally everything seems to work but the Sledgeback takes a very long time to reach my ship and then the ship, Gren and Torin never reach the Stardock.

It seems like the Sledgeback is not working as intended for me. My shipmods include «18 ship weapons», «6 ship engines», «Improved GravDrives», «More power capacity of reactors» and «Falkland Systems». Sledgeback is also not a part of my fleet.
 
Solution
Hello, an update for you and a workaround of sorts.

The only save I was able to open was the one before Last Watch was triggered, I think due to lacking the mods needed for your home ship. I played through the whole thing, making the Starborn Guardian your home ship in order to do so. This actually helped me to reproduce another issue someone reported in which the Guardian cannot dock with Gren (so that's a bonus!), but the workaround I used to bypass this actually allowed for Torin and Gren to correctly appear on Stardock. If you wish to try this until we are able to more reliably reproduce that other issue, here is what you can try:

1. Make the Starborn Guardian your home ship
2. Finish Last Watch but do not board Gren's ship

Hi there - the issues regarding the ship landing on the planet's surface are known, and there are failsafes in place that mean players hitting these should be able to make a save and reload that save in order to force the ship to land/appear.

That being said - it is concerning that nobody returned to Stardock for you after the quest completed. Did you receive any activity objectives to talk to Torin, Harper and Gren? If so, where do their objective markers point to?
 
I deleted all the shipmods, except for Falkland, and reloaded my save. That fixed all the issues I had with Sledgeback on planet.

I finished the quest and have been given the activity objectives «Speak to Harper (Gren and Torin) at Stardock». Harper is fine at the bar, but the two others are missing. The markers point to my main ship, but they’re not there. And the Sledgeback is also missing from the Stardock.

This is by the way the only issue I’ve had with Watchtower and McClarence. Awesome additions to the game. Thank you.
 
Please could you share your modlist with us, and drop a save file here? Ideally, one before the quest completes (so, before it tells you to find them at Stardock), and one where it is broken. Thank you for the assistance.
 
I deleted a lot of saves yesterday, but kept one where I haven't started the quest. This is the save I used to restart the final quest. And one save after completing the quest. The first one have four additional mods, «18 ship weapons», «6 ship engines», «Improved GravDrives» and «More power capacity of reactors», which are not included in the second save.

2. Finish Last Watch but do not board Gren's ship
3. Board another ship and take off. You can either wait for a 'wild' ship to land and steal that, or you can do what I did (placed one at me via console, tcl'd so I could reach the hatch, enter, tcl off again, and then sit in the pilot seat)
4. Fly to Stardock. Gren and Torin should correctly be there.
