Normally I'd feel bad going off like this on a mod, but you guys put it up for sale which makes it a product which makes it fair game for scathing criticism in my eyes, so this mod is actually trash. It starts off interesting and I like the fleet mechanics, but holy crap are the Watchtower bases frustrating and terrible. First, you take the worst mechanic from vanilla, the power cells, and make them the only way to get into the bases. Second, the damn missile strikes don't work after the scripted one in the first mission. I drop a missile directly onto the head of a mech and it does maybe 1% damage to its first health bar. Enemies have those awful weapons that drain your max health, so every battle is an exercise in frustration desperately trying to kill as many enemies as you can while you still have a health bar, while avoiding the mech you can't kill, and searching for the ONE SINGULAR EMERGENCY POWER PACK in the entire map. Who the hell thought this was fun? You make each base fall under one activity on the mission list so even if I have multiple bases "discovered" I can only get a waypoint to one at a time. It's just. It's awful. And most of your bases are on horribly inhospitable planets so even if I end every single one I somehow manage to get through with at least two different Prognosis: Worst medical conditions. Is this really the "difficulty" people want? I mean, I guess it is since so many people are praising this thing, but I don't understand how. This thing doesn't function properly. Like at all.
