I can’t dismiss Torin after finishing the watchtower questline

So I absolutely love Torin, but i would like to only have one follower and not two at the same time.
I don’t have any mods that alter followers, and luckily this isn’t annoying just can be immersion breaking.
Is there a work around or shall i just wait for a patch?

Hi there, which platform are you playing on? And what exactly are you experiencing - does he simply not have a dialogue option displaying for you that dismisses him (there should be one that says 'go back to Stardock' and one that says 'go back to your post', or words to that effect). Or do they display, but just don't work?

Hi, so i’m on xbox series x and he acts like a normal follower, i have the dialogue options to send him back to stardock or send him back to his post but when prompted he agrees but still follows me.
I’ve tried dismissing him from my crew via the crew menu and by dismissing my other follower and asking them to follow me again in the hopes he’d get the message but doesn’t
