Extracting Mods/Applying Mods

Currently have 2 of the 3 display stands with an outfit in it. I've pretty much fitted the Mcclarence space suit with 3 mods (resource hauler/weapon weight reduction/40+ carry weight) but the mods I extracted came from packs and helmets. When I tried extracting weapon weight reduction from a pack I had, had about 4 legendary packs with this mod, I could not apply it to the Mcclarence Superior Pack. It states that extracting mods from items like packs, will allow you to place that mod from the extact item to another similar item, so another pack. I extracted it 4 times but each time trying to add it to the pack, the robot kept stating he didnt have enough resources or didnt have the mod. So little confused on how the system works. Is there a specific list (mod list) of what mods actually can be placed on packs/suits/helmets or should i be extracting from all sources and hope that the mod I want will be able to be placed where I want. At the moment I cant add anything to the pack, was trying to add (auto medic) to the pack after extracting it from a pack but again, he wouldnt put it on.

Anyone having similar issues? Any help would be appreciated. Love the mod, definitely my fave so far.

Oh so it has to be vanilla packs, I was extracting mods from modded packs so that maybe the culprit. Was extracting from zone79's packs. Used the correct rack. I usually just place, if I'm using the pack to extract items from, just place the pack in its spot then extra from packs then place them, same with the other items. But I did try extracting from multiple items and seeing what would happen, thats when I could place the packs mod to the space suit slot.
In vanilla, the weapon reduction mod (weapon holsters) can only be applied to spacesuits. So if the mod you are using allows for this vanilla rule to be overwritten (for example, if it allows this mod to be added to boost packs), that may explain what you're experiencing...

Hi there - the McClarence pack should definitely accept the same mods that vanilla packs are capable of having. Just to double check with you - when you placed the McClarence boost pack onto the rack in order to install this mod to it, is it definitely the correct rack being used? In Jemison, the rack is nestled beside the mannequin and the helmet stand. There's another boost pack rack that has a boost pack already on it, which is part of the shop decor, so just want to be certain this one hasn't been used instead by accident.

If the correct rack is being used, and he is still not giving you the option to install mods, can I ask which containers are currently being used? (You mentioned you are using 2 out of 3?). For the purposes of troubleshooting - if you remove the item from the other container (not the boost pack), does he then give you the option to install mods to the boost pack?

If you check the terminals near the sales counters, it will show you the list of all mods you currently have available to use, and selecting each one will tell you exactly how many you have available to be installed along with which pieces that specific mod can be installed on. =)

Edit: removed website link due to inaccuracy.

You linked the Inara page which lists both 'Peacemaker' and 'Resource Hauler' able to be on a suit, pack, or helmet. However in this mod that is not the case.

Hi there - you're right, the website is inaccurate here. Apologies for the confusion as I had not noticed that when I linked it.

I have just spoken to someone else on the development team however and they have double-checked in the CK - and for Resource Hauler, it only has the keyword for spacesuits by default. For Peacemaker, it is a unique effect only available on the unique spacesuit.
