Can't Progress "Lost in Transmission" Quest

Started the quest, went to the coordinates to fight the Spacers, I destroyed one ship, but was overwhelmed by thr rest, so I fled by grav jumping to a different location, expanded my ship fleet, and made another attempt to take out the rest of the Spacers with my expanded fleet. After all the ships were destroyed, the objective to "Fight the Spacer ships," never updated. I double checked to see if by reloading in and out of the location would fix it, but alas it didn't.

Unfortunately I have been unable to reproduce this. Were any other actions taken, e.g boarding over ships, visiting over planets, completing vanilla quests etc?

I am also having the same issue. I boarded a Spacer Ship, killed the Spacers inside cans out killed the rest of the ships. And now it won't progress.
Playing on an Xbox One Series X.
Similar Load order.
