What's your system specs? I'm running a computer that I built about 12 years ago. It handles regular, vanilla combat just fine. But these huge Watchtower ambushes did the same thing, HUD turned red and so many enemy ships warped in that framerates dropped to single digits. Then the game froze and crashed. If I got hit with an ambush that big, I just used the consoles command "killall". That would wipe out the huge enemy fleet and allow me to continue.
Ahhhh ok! I can give that a try thanks! Yea I’m even having some issues with vanilla space combat. Not nearly as bad, but I do get some stuttering. Unless perhaps it’s a mod conflict, but I don’t have anything that touches space battles. I have an AMD 7950X3D paired with a RTX5090, so I’d like to think it’s not a system spec issue! Sucks to have to use that though, I’d love to engage in a battle that big. Thanks for the reply man!
