I'm in Eridani III's orbit i've tried landing and going back to the planet's orbit traveled between the moons with no luck so ever.

We had two other people run into this today and each had a different mod that was conflicting. Perhaps you have one of them.
The first was Cheat Terminal's God Mode - the way they implemented it causes the game's scripts to get really laggy and starts causing random issues in our quests.
The second was Dark Universe: Crossfire, apparently it has some events at Eridani III and one of them is bugged and can block ours from firing.

I'll have to upload it somewhere they are too big to upload
You may have to zip up the files, I'm guessing our site software doesn't allow the sfs format. Or perhaps you don't have permission for files that large. If you can't upload, would you mind uploading to Google Drive or similar free service and DMing Bobbyclue or myself a link to download?

I'm not sure what is meant by allowing the orbital to despawn? Sitting in space didn't seem to do anything.
If you leave the system entirely, and come back a bit later, does that vanilla sensor contact marker disappear? I believe once this is gone, you should be able to continue as normal until we can push out a proper fix for this.
If this does not work - if you have a save file from before originally jumping into the system, this may also allow things to progress, as the vanilla marker showing up appears to be random.

I have the same problem as above, but I don't use any of those mods they have tho.
When I reach Eridani III there is only the quest marker witch lead me to land on planet. There are 2 other markers in Space around Eridani 1. Space contact - 2. The Legendary Eclip ship (I destroyed long time ago).
If i return to the Starstation, he is still flying around there and has not travel to Eridani.
I tried a to restart the quest a few times now and I still get the same.
Really hope you can help

Additionally, if you happen to still have your save from before jumping to Eridani for the first time, does the quest progress?

Same here, i am stuck in jump to eridani 3 orbit. Torins ship dont spawn after jump. Marker leads to nowhere.
Im 44 lvl, play only the watchtower mod loaded, i have 3 outposts in eridani 3.
Do I cant play the mod...with Vanilla 44 lvl and full explored eridani 3 with 3 outposts there. Seems like a conflict with axplored and builded mod planet.
By my 79 lvl NG+7 lvl with many mods loaded and a unexplored new eridani 3, Torins ship spawns and i can play the mod without problems.

I have been informed that we should have a fix for this in an upcoming patch. In the meantime, if you have a save from before jumping into Eridani III's orbit for the first time, the vanilla POIs may not have spawned in and the quest should progress normally. Otherwise, this fix will be retroactive and should allow quest progression once the patch goes live. (If you are in Eridani's orbit when the patch is updated, you will need to leave and return for the fix to work).

I have a save before jumping to Eridani III for the first time, but it seems the 2 POI in around Eridani is conflict with the Orbit quest point,..... I think.
I have a "new" save, where i haven't reach level 15 yet, but I was to tired yesterday to reach level 15 and try doing the quest on a new save. I will if i can do it today.

For anyone on PC and not averse to using the console....
Jump to eridani III.
Open console and type:
"Help kgc 4 qust"
(Search through list for "port in a storm" quest id)
"Setstage [quest id] 430"
That forced Torin to jump in and the quest has been behaving normally for me since.
