Specific issue with McClarence Outfitters and dialogue camera

Hello. I am experiencing a very specific and strange issue with McClarence Outfitters. Simply by having the mod installed, it breaks the dialogue camera but only in New Atlantis, only on one specific character, and only for the first thing an NPC says. Once they're done with their initial statement after I activate them and I select a dialogue option, then it kicks in. Disabling the mod results in the dialogue camera in New Atlantis working correctly again. Started a new character with the exact same mod list, with McClarence installed, and the issue did not occur. Added to an existing save on another character, the issue did not occur. Went back to the character with the issue and fast tracked to the next NG cycle with coc MQUnity and the issue still occurred. Deactivated the mod, went to New Atlantis, activated the mod, and the issue did not occur, but as soon as I left New Atlantis and returned the issue occurred again. Entered McClarence, activated Jason but exited the dialogue as soon as possible, which resolved the issue until I left New Atlantis and returned, at which point it occurred again. Went back to McClarence, spoke to Jason, finished the initial conversation but did not accept the quest, issue resolved, left New Atlantis and returned, issue occurred again. Spoke to Jason again, took the quest, issue was resolved, left New Atlantis and returned, issue remained resolved. After this, skipped to the next NG cycle via coc MQUnity, landed in New Atlantis, the issue occurred again, but only with the Ship Services Technician. Spoke to Amoli at Jemison Mercantile and the issue seemed to resolve itself. Left New Atlantis and returned, issue occurred again with every NPC. Went to Jason and took the quest again, issue was resolved again. Left New Atlantis and returned, issue stayed fixed. Going back to a save from a previous NG cycle did not resolve the issue. Deactivated the mod, skipped to the next NG via coc MQUnity, and reactivated the mod, issue returned. Moving the mod down in my load order did not resolve the issue. Checked that the mod was up to date and it is. I then did coc MQUnity, start another NG cycle, removed ALL mods including SFSE, then did coc MQUnity AGAIN and started another NG cycle, just to eliminate as many traces of mods as possible. Enabled McClarence Outfitters, landed at New Atlantis, issue occurred.

I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Would you mind uploading a save to a google drive or other free service? One of us can see if we have the same issue - that should tell you if the issue is with your save, or maybe a rogue loose file.

Sure. I don't still have the "mods removed" save, but I'll recreate it tonight after work, upload to drive, and link here.

I tested the save file with a fresh completely vanilla (other than McClarence) install on another computer. The issue persists, but only when McClarence is active. Clearly there is either something about my save file McClarence doesn't like or something about McClarence my save file doesn't like.

Checking in to see if there's been any developments on this.

EDIT: Happens on saves from this character as old as launch day and now NG+ saves on other characters too. Gonna do a fresh reinstall and see if that has any effect.

EDIT 2: Fresh install did not resolve the issue.

EDIT 3: Tried hiding both BA2s, issue still occurred. Installed Starfield on a separate computer with no prior traces of the game in my Steam library folder, My Games, or Local AppData. Dialogue camera works with no mods installed. Installed McClarence Outfitters and nothing else, dialogue camera is broken again. User Nichosly in the official Bethesda Game Studios Discord reported the same issue on 6/2/25. They never found a resolution either. At this point, I don't know what else I can rule out. I don't see anyway it isn't the McClarence ESM causing this somehow.

I loaded the save you posted above with your character 'Lili Vess', it's missing 'constellation.esm' and 'old mars.esm', so there were still those two mods installed for clarification.

I then went to Jason's store on Jemison and spoke to him. The dialogue camera worked as intended - he stood in front of the manequin talking to himself as expected, then force-greeted me in conversation. I spoke to Jason, Buster, and a handful of other NPCs in Jemison including the ship services technician and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Can you please give me exact reproduction steps (I followed your guide as best I could above, but step by step instructions would be beneficial here)?

If you are able to record the bug in progress, please upload it here - perhaps seeing it in action will help.

The plugins you refer to are premium/preorder skin packs.

Exact reproduction steps:
- Make sure dialgue camera is set to "on" in accessibility options
- Load the save and land in New Atlantis
- Upon landing, immediately speak to the Ship Services Technician. The dialogue camera should behave as though it is turned off until you select a response to him.
- This behavior should persist in this vicinity until Jason's quest is accepted
- Deactivate McClarence and repeat these steps; the dialogue camera should function as intended
- If you speak to Jason without accepting the quest, the issue will appear resolved, but only until you leave New Atlantis and return

Jason is fine. It's people around him that're messed up, at least until I accept his quest.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, I manually deleted OldMars.esm and Constellation.esm from my Data folder. Issue persisted.

Recording uploaded. It's consistent for the ship technician, hit or miss for other NPCs in the area. Not shown in the video because I don't have one yet on that save, but it's also consistent for companions if I speak to them on that landing pad.

Thank you for your detailed instruction and video - and your patience! I have finally reproduced this on my end. I have made a ticket on our internal bug tracker and included your details and recording for our lead developer to take a look at.
