Solved? - [XBOX] Probable Bug with ship scrapping

EDIT: on my last attempt to salvage a ship before attempting to hit the Salvage button I simply sat in the seat of the ship and then stood back up. Turned around, clicked my right joystick and voila, scrapped the ship.

OLD: I've been attempting to scrap a watchtower ship and have as of yet been unsuccessful.

Upon clearing an enemy ship I get the initial prompt to scrap the ship. But then I get a message saying I need to make it my home ship. After making up my home ship I never again get a scrap message. Initially I thought that maybe once I went back to Gren there might be a scrapped prompt but last there is none.

Chat GPT is telling me that it's because the initial prompt for scrapping isn't repeated. Something to that effect. Thoughts?

(I will post my comprehensive mod list later tonight)

Hi there, I see your newest edit and yes, this is how salvaging works in Watchtower. Players need to sit to claim, and then stand and select salvage. Once the ship is no longer your active home ship it can be turned in to Gren.

In our second patch update, this will only be the case for vanilla ships (necessary in order to prevent potentially breaking vanilla quests), as Watchtower ships will instead no longer be required to be sat in order to salvage them.
