Slate missing out

Hello, Thanks for reading this I'm on xbox series X

I have a problem, after you get the spacesuit and the next thing is to give more items to the robot to continue, then after that, the dialog start playing asking if you can go for the permits or something like that and he is suppose to give you a slate with the info, but no slate is given and everytime I talk to the robot, the same dialog gets repeated but still no slate, need help to figure if it is a bug or I need to give more items to the robot (don't think this is because I get the dialog).

Hi there, are you by chance using a mod that alters encounter/system levels, e.g Royal Galaxy, Dynamic Universe, Dynamic System Levels, Minimum System Levels etc.

If so - we have submitted a patch to Bethesda to address this conflict, which we hope to see released as soon as possible.

If you do not have any mods like this in your load order, please can you take some screenshots of your mod list and we will take a look.

I was able to bypass this hold up by disabling Dynamic Universe and then I could receive the slate and start the quest, however when I got to the start of the quest to go to Generdyne, I can't receive that slate, even when Dynamic Universe is disabled. I'm guessing another mod is potentially blocking the quest start, but I am not sure which.

EDIT: I had actually never been to Generdyne in this universe so I went and talked to the guy at the entrance and went through his full dialogue to help him and then went back to McClarence and it gave me the slate.

Hi there, sorry to hear about this. Could you kindly make a new post with your Generdyne issue, and provide us with your modlist? It is possible that the same bug is at play here, but a member of our team will take a look.

I was able to confirm this bug and duplicate the solution. I removed all other mods and still encountered the bug, although I had Dynamic Universe installed at the beginning of the playthrough.

If you receive the quest text from Jason, but not the slate, the workaround should only require you to visit the Volii system/Neon orbit. I did not need to land or visit Generdyne.

I got the slate and read it but it doesn’t update after that. The mission status just says “read note”.. I’m on Xbox with several creations.

If this quest is still failing to start after updating McClarence to the latest version, please could you attach some screenshots of your load order? And just to confirm - are you talking about the one that points you to Generdyne, or a different quest? Just want to make sure I'm on the same page.

It’s the mission where you take the bribe to the trackers alliance and leave it in the bin, once I place it in a bin it says read the note, I take it out and read it and that’s as far as it goes . I can’t get the green checkmark in the box by read the note. I can’t send a screenshot, because I won’t be home for a while. sorry. … and yes, I’ve updated.
