Permanent Mercenaries in dungeons and mines

Just one question, does clearing the mines and dungeons make them permanently occupied by mercenaries? I have already taken some and activated that conversation with the cat saying that they already had the structure to exploit the natural resources of the occupied places, however, no guard shows up even after several days. (besides the guy who goes to collect the spoils of the relic with 2 guards and then leaves shortly after) is this normal? I thought that after taking the places they would be filled with guards and miners.

Hi there, yes it does - once a location is claimed by EEE, the mercenaries should remain there permanently. To claim a location however, you need the jarl's blessing for that particular hold.
 
I have the same issue since some of your updates/patches, I think... when I first played the expansion, Guards and miners showed up, even attacked respawning enemies. While Banners did not show at all. Now neither Guards nor Miners show up anywhere, Banners work properly. Except Halted Stream, no banners. This was also the other way round in earlier iterations (Banners at Halted Stream, no banners anywhere else.. ). Just wanted to let you know.
 
I'm experiencing a similar issue. I'm thane of falkreath, gained permission from Siddgier and upon returning to embershard mine there wasn't any prompt that the mine was taken by the EEC. No banners,no guards nothing. I even checked my load order and tried placing EEC under the Bards College Expansion and it just brings itself lower on the list. My list is as follows BCE, A Tale of Blood and Snow, Abandoned Winterhold, abbartions of the dwemer,coven of crones,seeking out scarlet,legendary dungeons:Nordic secrets,spelltome craft,katja the thief, listener's initiates,EEC,Echoes of the vale ,Legendary Dungeons:Dwarven delves,Bedlam Dungeon randomizer,secrets of rkund,scroll craft,millicent pure-blade,Dark Brotherhood-Voidstalker. I don't think any of those conflict. And I haven't had any crashes or anything
 
UPDATE: i cleared the cache and started a new save file withI reduced mods to BCE,EEC and Echoes of the vale. Went through everything at level 1 and became Thane of Falkreath as mentioned in my earlier post. The exact same outcome happened where there was no notification of Embershard mi e being taken over, there weren't any banners or guards either. I hope that helps to diagnose the issue
 
Hi there - I reproduced guards either not appearing at some locations, or for others, appearing, and then getting stuck on an endless loop of entering and exiting the dungeon. I will check out Embershard next - just to confirm, it doesn't even appear in your ledger as claimed?
 
I hadn't checked the ledger. It was strange but with the file I was using with more mods I was getting ore from halted stream camp but nobody but bandits were ever there. The fresh file I started was exactly the same. I could see the courier and guards arrive if I waited but there was no long term occupation

Unfortunately I could not reproduce the Embersharrd Mine issue. Just to confirm, you are on the latest patch?

(Note that I am only referring to the claimable status, not the guards/banners).

Additionally, we should have fixes for the banners and guards in our next patch update - thank you for the reports everyone!
