NPCs Assigned to Fleet Ships are Standing Around in My Home Ship

Knightblade

I've unlocked all possible fleet ships and assigned at least 2 crew to each one. To avoid them following me all the time, I have each fleet ship set to hold position and defensive. Now, when I enter my home ship or walk around inside, all those NPCs assigned to fleet ships in standing around in my home ship!

When I examine the crew assignment screen in game, these NPCs seem to be assigned to the correct ships. My home ship, the Prometheus, says it's at "Mars, Sol" but the location of all the added fleet ships gives a location of "Rambler II"? In orbit over Piazzi IV, they show in the correct location of "Piazzi IV-c".

So, why are these personnel in my home ship and shouldn't their location be "Stardock" or "Piazzi IV"?

MORE INFO: If I dock at Stardock Alpha, then return to my ship, I seem to lose the NPCs assigned to fleet ships. They show up in the crew assignment screen as assigned to the ships I set them to in the Fleet Management panel.

After leaving and returning to my ship again, all the extra Fleet Ship NPCs are back aboard my home ship, again! The crew assignment screen shows them assigned to the right ships but the location is set back to "Rambler II"!

Just updated to 1.0.2v4 and that seems to have solved the problem. I jumped to Akila and then reentered the ship with no extra crew this time. Jumped to Jemison and did the same thing. I'll report back if erroneous crew members start reappearing again!
Hi there, could you please provide your modlist? Additionally, to ensure we are on the same page here, could you provide us with some reproduction steps?

As a note, the defensive/hold positions shouldn't make a difference to behaviour here.

If you are on PC, we may be able to open a save file and take a look as well.

I have an extensive mod list adding lots of ship modules and player equipment. You can view the list here:

The save file is at:

I doubt it'll do you much good since my home ship uses many modded pieces.

As for reproduction, it's pretty much every time I enter my home ship. It's large (37 crew). I just stepped onto the ship after docking at Stardock Alpha and all the NPCs assigned to fleet ships are standing inside. I have them all in Security Flightsuits (unlike my home ship crew) so they are easy to see.

The only thing mod I can think of that might be causing a conflict is Ship Crew Assignments but my NPCs assigned to an outpost don't pop into the ship.

Thank you - yes unfortunately we can't open the save, however I have included your modlist and additional information to the ticket on our bug tracker.

In patch two, we addressed a bug which affects the packages of crew, as I had noted certain NPCs getting stuck on my home ship as well. Once this patch goes live, I would love to know if this fixes it for you as well, or if we need to continue our investigation.

Very soon I believe - we received confirmation that it passed Beth's PC checks, we are just waiting on the Xbox checks to be confirmed now. We always post on the forums and discord server and our social medias when a patch goes live, so hopefully folks won't miss it!
