I get to the droppod, sit down with no problem, and that’s it. Nothing more happens, except the alarm keeps sounding. I’ve replayed it a couple of times, both letting Torin die and trying to save him. Am I suppose to follow him into the portal? Because I tried that, too, but could not figure out what I was supposed to do next to defeat the defenses, other then walk the Earth like Cain from Kung Fu (didn’t work). I’ve already disabled cheat terminal, as well as a number of other mods. I’m on XBox, not PC.

Hi there, thank you for the information and sorry to hear you are experiencing a problem. Just to make sure we are on the same page here - once you sit down and nothing happens, is it like, an actual freeze? Or can you get up again? The path you choose should not matter as ultimately all of them would lead to the drop pod to escape.
It’s not a freeze. There’s a fan visible from the pod, and it continues turning. Also, the first time I tried it, I had Andreja with me, and she kept wandering around the bay, giving me accusatory looks (I assumed that was the problem, so I reloaded from an earlier save and benched her. Same result, though.).
But once I sit, I can’t get back up, trigger the scanner, or do anything else except go directly to the main menu to reload or quit.
One time I got the “WAIT” prompt, so I tried it, and was told I can’t wait here. So the game did register the button press.
If all paths lead to the droppod, then I wonder if the times I could not get back from Earth may be a related/second problem, rather than just me being dull.

When you entered the armillary portal after Torin that time you tried, what happened exactly? Did you fall onto Earth or did you enter a black and white place?

I solved it. I just kept removing mods. But here’s the list of mods I was running the last time it didn’t work, with the ones I disabled that made it work marked with triple asterisks (***).
I have a feeling the culprit may be Quick Airlock Doors.
