Jarl of Winterhold has no EEE dialouge

So I got to Korrin and he tasked me with asking the Jarl of Winterhold to allow them into their hold, yet when I go to speak to the Jarl he has no dialouge option. I exhausted all of Korrin's dialouge options but I still don't have the dialouge from the Jarl.

Can I ask what you have tried with the jarl? For example, did you try wearing the ring, speaking to the contact, and then talking to the jarl? Or is nothing showing up whatsoever?

Hey there! So I have the book, and I have the ring equipped, but the quest dialouge didn't pop up. Was there a specific contact I need to talk to for it to trigger?

Greetings KybKun24. When you arrive at Winterhold there is an NPC named Shady Contact standing outside the Jarl's Longhouse. When you get close enough to him he will initiate dialog. Afterward you should be able to talk to the Jarl. The jarl will start out with his vanilla question about "What's your business in Winterhold?" Hopefully that will get you to the choices for EEE.

Brambleberry has described what *should* happen - did this Shady Contact not appear for you outside the jarlhouse? If you have the ring equipped, he should force-greet you. If you did not have the ring equipped, this should not break the quest anyway - as this is just one possible dialogue option that should be available to you.

Out of interest, what version of Skyrim are you playing on? Is this a downgraded/older version, or newer?
