BCE & Custom Race (The Timelost Dwemer)

Hello, I recently bought the Bard College Expanded and wanted to try out the new instruments, but I found that it didn't work with the custom races. I tried installing the Unofficial Bard College Expanded patch, but it still doesn't work. I'm using The Timelost Dwemer - A Deep Elf Race SE race, and I've tried both the old version and the newer 4.0 version, which is compatible with Race Compatibility SKSE (RCS). Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi there, the playing instruments mechanic relies on using our own custom race templates in order to work, based on the vanilla races (and their werewolf/vampire varients). In order to use a custom, mod-added race, you would need to make a compatability patch for this.

Hi, thanks for answering. Could you explain more about these patches? I have the Race Compatibility SKSE (RCS) and Race Compatibility Dialogue SSE patches, among others. Still, I was unaware of race templates and the necessity to create a patch. Could you tell me how to do it or where I could find that information? I haven't been able to find much, so I don't know if I'm understanding correctly or if it's something very specific. (Also, if I didn't, I'd have to skip the part about the Dawnstar girl, which is a bit sad.)
