Am I just not there yet?

I bought the mod because I want to take old suits and have them remade at my level. It looked from the mod description that it was part of the services through "item duplication", but I just unlocked item duplication and the item I duplicated had the same low level stats. He just asked me to do a quest related to weapons so I'm nervous that the suit services are all unlocked and the item duplication doesn't work like I thought. Am I just not at that service level yet or was I mistaken about up-leveleding items?

Hi there, what level is your character, and which suits have you tried?

Suits in vanilla Starfield have either four tiers or five tiers depending on what they are - so for example, a four tiered suit can't get "better" than advanced. If you are at a specific player level and would be expecting to see a particular stat, it's possible that the suit chosen simply doesn't go up that high.

Additionally, suit level depends on player level at the time of finding the original and time of duplication. So for example say you have a basic suit, and then you duplicate it when you're 20 levels higher, the suit you receive will be of a higher level to match your current player level.

So I mean the base stats. I gave him a quest drop, Gran-Grans suit, from the Parent Trait. It's 124 Phys resist. Items dropping for me now are at like around 200 Phys. The one I gave him and the copy he made are still both 124. I tried a UC Vangaurd suit from the questline, it had a base of 94 Phys and what he gave back was 128 Phys. So better but not at the level of items dropping for me now.
