Welcome, and thank you for checking out this page! As the title on the tin says, I bring forth a set of 100% standalone High Poly head replacers for Bards College Expansion, with my own customizations and twists to help the NPC's truly stand out from the crowd!
What's Been Done?
As quick bullet list of what to expect:
- A facial overhaul of all the newly added NPC's inside the Bards College (and one more, but I won't spoil who here ;d). All faces remain true to both the characters original design and spirit. Screenshots of what's been done can be found here!
- ESL Flagged, built in the latest version of Skyrim Special Edition and 100% Standalone. All that's needed is Bards College Expansion!
- High quality assets, such as High Poly Head, 2K Facetints with hand edits done by yours truly, and assets taken from the community to help bring everything together.
- Built with compatibility in mind; everything should work with whatever body and skin mods you use in your game, if any at all. This does mean that these might look different in your game compared to my game!
How to (Un)Install
Download the provided file andand any desired patches and drag/drop them into your preferred mod manager. Make sure the main file overwrites Bards College Expansion, and that any patches overwrite Voices and Verses. To uninstall, just delete it from your mod manager if you no longer want it. This mod is 100% safe to install mid save.
Who's Been Modified (So Far)
Do be aware that be below box contains spoilers for BCE. If you haven't played through it in it's entirety, or otherwise wish to keep various aspects of it a surprise, I'd suggest moving on from here!
FAQ
I have dark face bug/the replacer(s) aren't showing up!
You have something overwriting the NPC's record, put your LO in SSEEdit and patch from there.
Can you make X patch for me?
No, I have a life as well and my LO is already delicate enough. I provide patches based on what my LO looks like and what I want, such as the Animated Armory patch for Peras or physics enabled hair for a few of the cast members. Genuinely, if you need help with how to do your own patching, I would recommend you take a look at GamerPoets and Biggie_Boss on Youtube, they were the ones who helped demystify SSEEdit and Creation Kit for me!
I don't like how something looks, can you change it?
No. If you don't like something I've done, you're welcome to modify the files as you see fit for personal use only. I won't take offense, don't worry.
Any chance of a low res version?
If theres enough demand, I might put a version out there with 1K/512px facetints and downscaled textures if original MA's have provided them, otherwise you're welcome to modify the files provided to best suit your storage needs.
XBox Port when?
I don't foresee it happening. I don't own an XBox, the file is meaty by XBox modding standards, and permissions for cross-console ports tend to be iffy at best. If you want to try your hand at it and do the work of getting permission for cross-console usage, be my guest, but please let me know before you upload anything so I am aware of it.

These are some of the first replacers I've been able to successfully implement, I wouldn't be surprised if I missed something in my testing! If you think theres something missing or messed up, feel free to shoot me a DM, either here, on Nexus, or elsewhere and we can look into it.
Who's Next?
Making these was an absolute blast, and I 100% intend to make more in the future. I won't make any promises on who I do next, but expect a grand majority, if not all the NPC's to be covered at some point in the future. For now, I just want to actually play the dang mod in its entirety lmao.
More likely than not, the next NPC's tackled will be named NPC's from Music, Merriment and Muckrakers (minus Korrin) and NPC's from Troubadours Trials!
