UPDATE: catched a disease - Possible bug? - Player character immune to disease

UPDATE!! My character "finally" (LOL) got a disease. I am above level 20 and I catched Rockjoint.

However, it is still odd that it "took" me so long. Earlier on my playthrough I let vampires do their "infection" spell for seconds in a row, without getting infected by Sanguinare Vampiris. Normally, you get it immediately when fighting the first vampire you encounter.

So could it be that BCE in some way tremedously boosts the immunity, but not to a 100% ?

Hi,

First and foremost: I want to thank the team for making such good creations (both BCE and EEE)!
I am sorry if this is the wrong place to report a (possible) bug, but I couldn't figure out how to post in the report section.
I believe I have encountered a bug with BCE. Whenever I play Skyrim with it installed, my player character doesn't seem to be able to catch a disease. I play on Xbox Series X.

My character always catches a disease pretty early on in the game, no matter what mods I have installed. But when I start a new game with BCE, my PC seems completely immune. Regardless of having USSEP or not, or a bunch of other mods installed alongside it.
important: I have not tested the situation when starting completely vanilla, waiting to get the first disease, and then adding BCE to that existing save.

I hope this is helpful.

Greetings.

Hi there - apologies for the late response! Glad to see this mechanic working for you.

In light of that, my reply is a bit redundant now, but I wanted to confirm that BCE should not impact disease rate at all. In fact, I frequently got 'infected' by diseases myself when testing BCE, as the traps used in the final dungeon often give the player afflictions. So this particular issue seems to be a strange coincidence.

Okay thanks.
It could be a strange thing that only appears on my end. Still, I would like to mention that even after completely reinstalling Skyrim and starting over several times, the issue continues to be there. But as you said, it is a digital thing, and not everything can be pinpointed or sorted out.
