It could be a great way to get more insight into Watchtower and their philosophies, and maybe even throw some of it back in their face, since they're kind of hypocrites when you think about it. Maybe you could even convince them that you specifically aren't a problem, and maybe even get them to help out in the big climax of the main quest.

Perhaps the starborn are selected by the ancient starborn bloodline in which after the final battle a mysterious courier appears and hands you a device made of the same material as the artifacts, the device opens a portal. A council of the ancient awaits on the other side, seeking your help correcting and restoring the damage created by Watchtower, altering events trying to change the flow of history. Do you rebalance the many alternate realities or? Rewards like new ships, armor, weapons, crew and of course to enhance it all. Perhaps a cloaked solar system with a ultra-high Teck city
