[SPOILERS] What do I do to take Torin (Answered)

thru the Unity with me?

I've completed the Last Watch and bonded with Torin. I activated the Armillary and entered the Unity. Checked in with myself... "you say that every time..." Started anew and then landed in New Atlantis.

Torin is no where around. How will I know if he came with me? Did I skip a step?

Before jumping, I did NOT say goodbye to others (the [Optional] mission)

I reloaded my save right after activating the Armillary and then I talked to Torin, he's on board my ship. I did not notice anything like "ready to go?" even though there's a lot dialog options.

When you first get attacked by watchtower in your new universe,

there will be an extra dialogue option in your response list when they demand you submit to them. There will be an option to signal Torin, he jumps in and you don't get zapped. In other words, after the unity jump you both start in new universe in your og starting spots, you don't truly know he went through with you until the wt first capture attempt.
