Robot in Captain’s Bedroom

So I used a skydrop to add an AI robot — cool. After I leave the planet this robot is now in my cabin. Does it fin its way back to the ship in my fleet to be added back to the drop? Can I get it to follow me as part of an away party? Will I keep collecting them until my ship ship is stuffed with robot? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thank you for the update. Do you have a save handy where the robot is actively following you/ inside your ship? If so, please share it here.

Unfortunatly, I am using GamePass and not steam. I am not sure I can access the game saves.

Ah no worries. Can I ask what happened when this bug hit you? For example, was it upon first ever using the mech skydrop, do you just have the one Skydrop for it installed? Or had you used several? Did the mech follow you around when fast travelling? Does it continue to follow you once it's on the ship?

What's supposed to happen is that it follows you around the area it got dropped, but is supposed to despawn from the world when you leave.

I have three ships in my fleet. First is a modified Narwhal which is my home ship. Next is a tricked out Star Eagle with two missile sky drops. Last is an up gunned and engined Razorleaf. I was able to shoehorn the class B reactor with a power output of 39 and still keep it under a mass of 800 as adding extra landing gear to the Razorleaf is a huge pain. That ship is the one to which I added a single top mounted SHIVA drop. It was the first time I used it that the mech stayed past the engagement. After I completed the mission and then went back to the ship the SHIVA was waiting for me in the captain’s cabin I had added to the Narwahl. I have since dropped other SHIVAs but there is still only the one that stays in my cabin.

Thank you for the detailed report! Just to confirm, it is only the shiva on your ship, not the AI Mech?

BTW — since we are talking about drops the missiles are not very effective against terrormorphs.

Yes I only have the first two drops available so far. I added a bunch of detail as I was not sure what might be relevant I should also mention I only had Shattered Space and your mod installed at the time. I have since installed two modes one UC Flygirl and The New Crew. Both are achievement friendly.

Another thing that may be relevant is that I have Torin assigned to the Space Eagle and not my home ship.
