question how do you find the minor arrays

I've looked at the map and there's no indication of a way to find the minor arrays for the major array to be easier

If you are piloting a ship, the ui element doesn't show up (this is a limitation we are in communication with Bethesda about handling). Outside of piloting a ship, if you zoom out to the furthest view of the Galaxy Map you should have a Watchtower button to show you the minor systems.

From there, you'll want to talk to Harper and either turn in Intel to randomly get locations, or you can use her paid service to have her find locations within various difficulty bands. Each HUB array corresponds with a difficult band, so the first one should be her first option she offers under paid.

yea I've tried both. the 2nd one works but the 1st one... there is not enough info to tell me where or how to find the ground base do i scan each planet or do i just land somewhere in the system

Harper will give you an Activity Objective called Follow Harper's Leads which will put a marker at the bases.

The UI elements of the galaxy map are somewhat misleading. It says something like "Find minor arrays in this system" when you hover over, implying that you should go there and explore, but you can't actually manually discover the Watchtower bases on the planets by yourself. You have to get the quest markers from Harper.

Edit: Correction, Kinggath has confirmed that the Listening Posts will spawn as procedural POIs if you land on the planets. My difficulty in finding these POIs might be an incompatibility issue with another mod.

That's what I thought but I can't find them "the bases for the major array's linked arrays".

If Harper isn't finding you the ones you want, you can also explore random spots on the planets in those systems. The listening posts are injected as part of the general procedural system of Starfield as well.

To clarify, you find the listening posts in any of the systems showing on the UI element or in the quest entry that lists all the systems. Once you find the planet side listening post, reach the terminal within, and it will reveal the location of the linked minor array you are looking for there.

So in order to find a minor array, you have to either land all over the planet in the hope of stumbling across the listening post that links to it, or keep bringing datapads to Harper in the hope that she randomly finds that listening post?

Correct. Watchtower is incredibly secretive and doesn't broadcast the coordinates of its listening posts or arrays for easy detection.

I was really enjoying the mod up until these minor watch towers. I figured out the land on planets to actually get a listing post part but I've done 3 on The Pup and used the terminal to access the info and nothing happens to progress the minor quest. The Pup never gets checked off. I'm pretty sure I could land many more times on the planet and take out many more sites with the same lack of progress. This part of the quest is either not working or not very intuitive. Also the terminals never seem to to update once you exhaust the options in the post.
