Is there a log, either in game or on my system where I can read the various notices EEE puts up? They go away too quickly, and often I don't even notice them. I'd like to be able to check to see if that message was saying all the loot will just sit there forever or whatever it tell us!

Hi, there is not a log no, other than the journal at each camp that details how many sites you have claimed, your profit generated, etc. The messages that flash up in the top left tend to reference the jarl's blessings and whether you still require them or not in order to claim the territory proper. If you do already have the blessing for that hold, the message will display what hold the outpost is in and thus which outpost will receive the claiming benefits. You can see a list of them here for your reference.
As for your loot, you can set which destination you would like to send it to directly on the relic chest. Loot is collected after 24 hours and should appear in the chest at the chosen location.
