does gaining favor with the jarls retroactively allow cleared sites to become part of the EE or do we have to have favor FIRST and go back to those sites again and put in another relic? I know I ended up putting a lot of them all over the place before I got the quest to talk to the elf where it officially offered me the deal. Before it would just tell me, I needed favor.
Which brings me to my next question or rather a suggestion. If a lot of the EE is blocked behind quests, instead of a notification, maybe popping up a notification that you're not able to have the EE claim the area if you aren't in the hold and give the option upon exiting if you still want to keep the relic in the chest or take it back. Not a big deal but, just a suggestion.
Another thing I found is on the first quest where you first encounter the cat, he introduces himself etc.. but if you tell him, you don't need help that you know what you're doing.. but when you place a relic in a container.. it will still allow you to choose to send it to the merchant instead of the chest.
I didn't know and instead of putting contents in there to be transferred to whiterun, I sent it to the merchant to sell.. But apparently that's an option that you find out about upon advancing the ee quest.
Basically, after playing for a bit, the quest came up saying to go to whiterun and get the contents from your chest. problem is, i never sent contents there. SO i had to go back to the original chest with the relic, change the to: to myself and put at least 1 item in. then after a bit, I was able to go back to whiterun, open the chest and once I grabbed my loot, the quest advanced.
Btw.. i don't have any saves from then as I'm lost past that point but figured I would just mention it. Mod works great regardless.
I guess though that for people who, like me, never follow the skyrim rules.. lol, sometimes are impatient and don't realize you have to do things very specifically with this or the quest sort seems to 'hang' if you don't quite realize what it's asking.
