Hi everyone!
First of all, your creation is probably the best there is for Starfield for the space exploration part. So thank you very very much.
As a long time heavy-weight outpost builder, I have built quite a lot of outposts and to speed up the production also built a lot of robots, long before the Watchtower released. The fleet terminal currently displays 225 crew members available to assign to fleet ships which makes the actual assignments cumbersome as there are dozens of pages one has to scroll through to find the correct crew member.
1/ The list includes all robots (like sanitary minibots or security robots) from all outposts the player ever built.
2/ The list includes all robots that were already removed from all existing outposts.
3/ The list includes all already removed robots from all already removed/deleted outposts.
My believe is that this is related to the vanilla game mechanics. There used to be an issue with deleting an outpost resulting in its robots not being removed from the game but permanently unassigned. However, such unassigned robots were still listed in the crew screen without the ability to reassign elsewhere. I am not sure if this was resolved. My guess is the game just flags the robots to hide them from UI lists but not necessarily remove them from the game.
Is there a way to identify a robot so that it is not included in the list of assignable crew? Also is there a way to identify that a robot is flagged for removal? I am not sure if the same logic applies to generic NPC specialists which if left unattended basically leave the crew forever once the player travels elsewhere.
I noticed that you want to integrate the fleet assignments into the vanilla crew assignments screen someday. Perhaps that will work around the issue with going through long lists in the fleet terminal. However, for those who prefer the fleet terminal as a more immersive approach to fleet management it would be nice to have this resolved also.
Feel free to ask for addition details on this topic.
