And Another Question - Should the WT AI Mech Engage the Local Fauna

My first Follow Harpers Leads quest was interesting. The quest sent me to Kumasi VIa for Listening Post Delta. Upon landing/approaching the LP, there were 4 terrormorphs. So I called three Shiva bots and stood back at a distance to watch the engagement. However, it did not entirely proceed as hoped. The WT Ai Mech did not engage the terrormorphs, but came after me. Apparently the 4 WT soldiers, terrormorphs and/or the Shiva did engage each.

Should the WT AI Mech engage the local fauna and, if not, I suggest KG et al consider this?

For those like myself who played a lot of Fallout 4, the flare grenades when thrown on Kumasi traveled considerable farther than throwing a grenade in Fallout 4 at a 45deg angle wearing power armor and having the grenade fall to ground about 20 feet away (slight exaggeration:unsure:).

Solution
The AI Mechs just follow standard Starfield enemy behaviour - it sounds like you just got unlucky in this instance in that it decided you were its top priority. They can and do engage with other enemies (and will often start fights with peaceful fauna as well... whether you want them to or not haha) - so you may find that your next encounter will result in such.

Solution
Because the large WT AI Mech is hard to defeat, the Darkstar Manufacturing mod (Nexus #9963) may be helpful. The mod significantly improves your space helmet/spacesuit/pack protection and significantly improve your weapons damage rating. However, it also requires a significant investment in research and crafting resources, and is very dependent on the player's level.

I have had the opposite experience in th three times I have seen the Terrormorph and Watchtower together. In one case the Terrormorphs wasted the watchtower forces and in the other two the Terrormorphs took over the watchtower soldiers and used them to fight the Mechs.

Yeah, accounting for gravity (or nigh lack thereof) makes throwing grenades and flares hilarious. Low enough gravity (like the 0.06g on Kumasi VI-a) means there's no arc; just a straight-line throw.

It's also funny to try dropping a mine and seeing it flutter down and bounce. And the vehicle boost means you're effectively using a flying car.
